Our soap making processes
There are two main ways to make soap: cold process and hot process. Both methods use a mixture of oils and lye (sodium hydroxide) to create soap, but they differ in how they are made and cured.
Cold Process Soap
Cold process soap is made by mixing oils and lye, then stirring until it thickens. The soap is poured into molds and left to harden for 24-48 hours. However, it still needs to cure for 4-6 weeks so that the excess water evaporates, making the soap harder and longer-lasting. This method allows for more artistic designs, like swirls and layers, and produces a smooth, creamy bar of soap.
Hot Process Soap
Hot process soap is similar but cooked with heat (usually in a slow cooker or double boiler). The heat speeds up the chemical reaction, so the soap is ready to use much sooner—often in just a few days instead of weeks. Hot process soap has a more rustic, textured look and a slightly softer feel but is just as effective and nourishing as cold process soap.
Both methods create high-quality, natural soap, and the choice depends on personal preference and how soon you want to use the soap!

Disclaimer:
Our handmade soaps are crafted with love using only natural, high-quality ingredients. Due to the nature of small-batch production, variations in weight, color, texture, and scent may occur from batch to batch. These differences are a natural result of our artisanal process and do not affect the quality or effectiveness of the soap. Rest assured, each bar is made with the same care and dedication to providing you with a nourishing and luxurious experience.
